Windy Hill Farm is a small family
owned farm located in the
Northern Catskill Mountains of
New York State. Our focus is on
raising animals that provide
beautiful fiber for handspinning.
Because our farm is small each
animal is known by name and
cared for as an individual. They each have a unique personality and
we are able to get to know each one. After spinning and working
with wool from many breeds of sheep we decided that Cormo was
the breed for us. Our ACSA Registered Cormos provide fiber that is
next to the skin soft. It produces a bouncy, soft yarn that is perfect
for baby items. Llamas and alpacas were added to our farm as
guard animals due to coyotes in our area. They have been very
diligent at guarding our pastures and provide us with lovely fiber in a
wide variety of colors. Look for pictures of our animals on this site.
